About Me
I am a mixed media artist who uses everyday subject matter and absurdity to explore more complex ideas. My pieces usually start with ceramic pieces or "props" and the ideas evolve from there. I am interested in everyday phenomena, simple occurrences that when synchronized or seen in the right light become fabulous. I have been stuck on ideas of hanging on and letting go, relative perimeters of success, memory, failure and the spectacle. My most recent work also includes wanderlust and other ideas on travel and motherhood.
I am currently raising two awesome boys and teaching ceramics at Governors State University.
